Located near Aberdeen Proving Ground in Abingdon, Maryland, DCS’s Belcamp office provides secure engineering, integration, and technical support for the Army’s chemical and biological defense mission. Its proximity to key organizations, including Capability Portfolio Executive (CPE), Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense (CBRND), and DEVCOM Chemical Biological Center, enables close collaboration with government customers and rapid support for critical defense programs. From this location, DCS delivers systems engineering, sensor integration, software development, modeling and simulation, network administration, laboratory informatics, and field test support for a wide range of chemical and biological defense initiatives. Equipped with a Secret Facility Clearance, automated testing capabilities, and advanced sensor emulation environments, the site supports the development, integration, and evaluation of next-generation technologies, including programs such as CBRN Support to Command and Control (CSC2), Next Generation Warning Reporting and Advanced Hazard Prediction (NEXGEN WRAHP), and Integrated Early Warning. Combining specialized technical expertise with secure infrastructure, the Belcamp facility plays a vital role in advancing innovative solutions that strengthen the nation’s chemical and biological defense capabilities.
