DCS’s Sterling Heights facility strengthens our long‑standing support to the U.S. Army’s ground vehicle enterprise, providing a modern, purpose‑built environment for integration, prototyping, and advanced engineering. Located near the Detroit Arsenal, the facility enables rapid collaboration with Development Command (DEVCOM) Ground Vehicle Systems Center (GVSC) ensuring responsive execution across research, development, and sustainment activities.  

With specialized labs, collaborative engineering spaces, machining and fabrication areas, and a high‑bay environment designed for full‑scale vehicle work, the site enhances DCS’s ability to deliver innovative, high‑quality support to the ground-vehicle technology community.  The Sterling Heights team provides mechanical and electrical systems design, printed circuit board and electronics design, electronics box fabrication and assembly, MIL-spec cable fabrication, vehicle integration, computer software development, and the design and construction of fully functional simulation cabs. 

The facility includes extensive vehicle integration space, advanced power and exhaust systems, multiple overhead cranes, reconfigurable System Integration Labs for testing and evaluation, dedicated cable‑fabrication and machine‑shop capabilities, secure classified storage, and environmental and EMI/EMC testing. Together, these resources enable rapid prototyping, integration, testing, and sustainment of advanced ground‑vehicle technologies.
