Autonomous and Robotic Systems Solutions
DCS delivers mission autonomy and trusted AI that power next‑generation autonomous and robotic systems across air, ground, and space. Through multi‑agent mission management, cognitive‑inspired neural networks, and explainable, neurosymbolic AI, DCS provides advanced decision frameworks that elevate performance and reduce human workload. Proven in programs such as Skyborg, Calibrated Reliance in Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning Systems, Army Robotic and Autonomous Systems – Ground / Robotic Technology Kernel, and DARPA Air Combat Evolution, DCS solutions deliver integrated, trusted AI workflows for mission autonomy and operator interaction.
DCS delivers advanced autonomy solutions that power mission success across air, ground, sea, and space. We design intelligent agent architectures, multi‑agent systems, and AI‑driven decision tools that enhance mission planning and human‑machine teaming. By integrating modeling and simulation, cutting‑edge sensors, and shared knowledge systems, DCS boosts mission effectiveness and reduces crew workload, enabling seamless manned‑unmanned collaboration in any operational environment.
DCS brings deep expertise in testing, evaluation, and safety engineering for autonomous and robotic systems (UxS). We deliver hazard analyses, formal safety testing, and safety‑of‑flight assessments across major Army and Navy UxS programs, including CH‑53K, Met-D, HMIF, SEER, GEARS, AGR, ExLF, and C‑sUAS. DCS leads end‑to‑end test planning, execution, and data analysis, applying MIL‑STD‑882E and other critical safety standards. Our engineers support system integration, airworthiness, flight testing, and accident investigations, ensuring compliant, safe, and mission‑ready performance for both manned and unmanned platforms.
DCS has extensive experience developing and integrating Open Systems Architectures (OSA) for autonomous and robotic systems, including defining technical standards for the Sensor Open Systems Architecture reference architecture, supporting Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) development for ground vehicles using RAS-G IOP, and leading open architecture efforts for Navy and Army unmanned platforms. DCS’s TECUMSA software integrates with FACE-compatible architectures for large-scale autonomous sUAS control. DCS applies OSA to enable modularity, interoperability, and rapid integration of autonomy, C6ISR, and sensor technologies across diverse manned and unmanned systems.
DCS designs and develops robotic and autonomous systems featuring embedded and distributed sensor, power management, communication, mission/payload, and vehicle control subsystems. We integrate custom and commercial off-the-shelf hardware and software on real-time operating systems using open systems architecture with standardized interfaces. Our distributed architectures harness processing and communications to ensure reliable, scalable autonomous operation at the edge across unmanned and manned platforms. System validation and deployment are supported through integration, testing, and fielding, including soldier evaluation and feedback. This approach strengthens performance and adaptability overall.
